Who we are
MetaBridge ("we", "us") is a Shopify app that maps Shopify customer metafields to Klaviyo profile properties (custom properties). It is operated by Evan Blair, doing business as MetaBridge, in Utah, United States. Contact: [email protected]. Site: getmetabridge.com.
This site vs the app
This page covers two related uses of data: (1) this public website, which is a closed-beta waitlist and legal pages, and (2) the MetaBridge Shopify app, which syncs merchant-configured customer metafields to Klaviyo. The website does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party embeds. The waitlist form opens your email app; it does not post to a MetaBridge server.
Protected customer data
When a merchant installs the app, MetaBridge accesses two kinds of protected customer data from Shopify: the customer metafield values the merchant chooses to map, and customer email, used only to find the matching Klaviyo profile. We request nothing else. We do not use customer data for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions, and we never sell or share it for ads.
What we process
- Shop / merchant data — shop domain, install state, OAuth tokens, reusable mappings, sync job metadata, billing status when billing exists.
- Customer data — customer email (join key) and merchant-configured customer metafield values so we can sync to Klaviyo.
- Destination credentials — Klaviyo API keys the merchant provides. Keys are used only for the sync you authorize and are not sold.
- Website waitlist — name, work email, and shop URL only, so we can reply about early access. We do not ask for metafield lists, passwords, API keys, or payment details on this site.
How we use data
- Authenticate the shop and run mappings / sync jobs.
- Show dry-run previews and sync health to the merchant admin.
- Fulfill Shopify compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).
- Bill via Shopify App Pricing when that is live. Closed-beta pilots are not charged today.
- Reply to early-access requests sent from the waitlist form or email. Evan replies within two business days.
No sale · no ads
We do not sell customer data. We do not share data with advertisers. We process data only to provide the sync service the merchant installs, or to reply to a waitlist request. Merchants remain the controller of their customer data; MetaBridge acts as a processor under their mapping instructions.
Consent and opt-outs
The public waitlist requires an explicit checkbox before submit. MetaBridge does not change any customer's marketing consent in Klaviyo. You control which customers are in scope. When Shopify sends a redaction request for a customer, we delete their data from MetaBridge. Waitlist entries can be deleted if you email [email protected].
Cookies and tracking
This marketing site does not set its own cookies and does not load analytics, advertising, or social pixels. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set strictly necessary cookies for security or network delivery. Details: Cookies policy.
Sharing
- Klaviyo — only properties the merchant maps, via APIs they authorize, under the merchant's own Klaviyo agreement.
- Shopify — install, billing, webhooks.
- Your email provider — if you use the mailto waitlist, your message travels through your own email app to [email protected].
- Infrastructure — Cloudflare hosts this site and app infrastructure. Additional subprocessors (database, email/logs) will be named here as production expands. We do not currently use a named analytics vendor on this site.
Retention and deletion
Metafield values are passed through to Klaviyo for the sync attempt. Sync-related logs that may include email are retained only as needed for troubleshooting and then deleted. Tokens and shop data remain until uninstall or shop/redact. On customers/redact or shop/redact we delete or anonymize customer-linked data for that shop. Merchants can uninstall to revoke API access. Waitlist emails are kept only as long as needed to reply and run the closed beta, then deleted on request or when no longer needed.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Shopify webhooks are HMAC-verified. Scopes are minimized. Secrets are kept out of logs. Shopify tokens and Klaviyo API keys are stored encrypted when held server-side.
Children
MetaBridge is a business tool for Shopify merchants. It is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where that higher age applies.
Utah and U.S. consumer note
MetaBridge is operated from Utah, USA. If you are a consumer in Utah or elsewhere in the United States, you may have rights under applicable state and federal consumer-protection and privacy laws, including the right to ask what personal information we hold about you from this waitlist and to ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. We will respond in a reasonable time.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes to how the app uses protected customer data will also be reflected in Shopify Partner disclosures when those are submitted.
